THEY GROW SO FAST!

“I completely, with every fiber in my being— regret not getting super, professional newborn pictures taken within the first few DAYS of my child’s life.  We had planned on doing it, and then– well– life with a baby was 10x more busy/exhausting (and I was in post-delivery pain) than I had pictured (u know what I mean, 2nd time + moms).

Anyways–if you are thinking about getting newborn pics– try to stick to it!  Babies change every single hour they are in your arms– growing sooo quickly right before your eyes!!  I really miss the tiny newborn stage– I always knew I would–but now that my DD is 14 months I wish I had something concrete to hold onto….not just my own digital photos….”

NEW BORN & BABY PHOTOGRAPHY

How does it work?

  • If you want really the newborn look (like the above pictures) you have to schedule the photoshoot before 7-10 days after birth. It’s of course possible to schedule it later but you can not expect to get this sleepy newborn look on the photos. Warm up your home a little extra if you want photos with the baby naked or semi naked.
  • Most of the time I come to your place and we do natural photos in your home with the baby, mum & dad and potential siblings.
  • What to prepare – It’s better if you prepare your home as much as you can manage  with tidying up and declutter. If you can’t manage (baby time can be quite challenging) we do what we can. Also prepare clothes that you like for you and your baby and all kinds of plaids, blankets scarfs etc that you have (make sure they are clean). 
  • We take the time that we need for the photos (1-3h) and follow the babys needs. If you don’t want any breastfeeding photos you can feed just before I arrive. 
  • I follow all COVID rules – clean, disinfected and wear mask. If you prefer I let you manage the baby fully and I keep distance (please let me know before so that I bring the right lenses)

  • Parents are always behind the camera – They grow so fast! And I am sure that in the future you want your children to have photos of you kissing them, holding them, snuggle them and play with them. And I assure you, they will want that too!
  • Memories forever – Family pictures will make you remember special moments and special feelings. Life is too short not to get them done. 
  • You never know when the last possibility for a family photo session will be – Life is short and unpredictable. Unfortunately things happen without warning. Having great pictures to go back to. Don’t take your current situation for granted as your family change and grow every day. 
  • Family photos are an investment – Let’s be honest. You get what you pay for.

FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

How does it work?

  • We pick a photo location together. If you have a special place that is important for you we do it there. If not you let me know what kind of pictures you wish to have – lifestyle at home, mountain view, lake view, castle view, snowy winter, orange – yellow autumn views… 
  • You prepare – clothes that you wish to have – if you want glamour – take your bal-outfits! If you want a more relaxed style – take jeans and a nice t-shirts. It’s all up to you. Try to have just a little coordination with colours. Also try to avoid very strong colours such as bright green (it might give you greenish skin) and try to avoid too much big prints (your child wants it now but in 20 years most likely not). If you want timeless pictures – put timeless clothes, if you want a la mode you put a la mode clothes. 
  • Let me know what you will be using your pictures for and what your expectations are. Which combinations – portraits, mostly the kids, all family photos… Also let me know if you f.ex want a lot of black&white photos or any special editing. If you have some favourite photos on my page you can send them to me in advance so that I have a chance to realise your vision. 
  • Be yourself. Relax. Posed pictures don’t come out well very often. Play with your kids and have fun with them, create the intimacy that you know best – like the moments when you love your children the most. I will sometimes propose things to do, if it doesn’t feel like you, then just don’t do them.
